I love Sandra Bullock

Last night was movie night, so went over to a friends and we watched The Blind Side.  Ok, they should’ve mentioned I was gonna need kleenex.  My face was wet from the beginning;  what a story!  Stories: that’s one of the things I love about teaching school and cooking classes.  I get to hear so many great stories from a Preschooler’s bathroom experience and how proud he was of himself to a middle aged woman reminiscing about her grandmother always wearing an apron while she cooked.  Everyone has a story.  These are the things I live for.  Stories connect us one word at a time.

Never missing an opportunity for a tasting guinea pig; I messed up my kitchen again and made Tex-Mex Popcorn for movie night.  My friend said: it taste like a  taco!  So, I renamed it Taco Popcorn…who doesn’t like tacos?  Here’s how I did it:  Taco Popcorn

  • Melt Butter, add cilantro, lime juice, cumin and paprika

  •

    • cover and let steep 10-15 min.

    • Pop the corn
  • add the remaining butter, melt and strain

  • add to popped corn, mix and dig in!
