In recent years, a renewed interest in baking has swept both the USA and the UK due to television shows such as, ‘The Great British Baking Show’ and ‘The American Baking Competition.’ This camp provides new recipes for young bakers to practice their pastry making, cookie baking and kneading skills. Baking 102 After this week long workshop, tween CLG campers will know how to create tarts with yummy fillings and toppings, work with meringues, decorating with piping and more! Tarts, cupcakes, pate a choux and YOU! Parents enjoy a tasting reception on the last day. This camp accommodates nut allergies only. Minimum of 10. Camp Fee: $275R/$295NR Register Here

(FULL DAY) Edible Art with Young Rembrandts:A gallery of delightful recipes awaits as we explore food through works of art. Since the dawn of time humans have been illustrating what they eat. From Cezanne’s famous still life of apples to Andy Warhol’s pop art depiction of a soup can, students will be inspired to think of the historical and cultural importance of food as they cook and draw their way through art. Students will have an opportunity to create some edible art and, along with Young Rembrandts, students will use pastels and other media to replicate some of the most famous works of edible art, and create other original food-inspired art that looks good enough to eat.
