Just look at those faces

Faces only a cooking teacher could love!

Last week we celebrated our love of sugar making and baking everything from Cheesecake to Fundue Fondue!   The little pastry chefs happily engaged in the class with all hands on deck, in the chocolate bowl, on each other…spreading they’re chocolate bliss everywhere. A few could’ve used a bath after this class.  They just could not help themselves, the “poor little darlings”.

Amazing what a little creamy chocolate and lots of refined sugar will do to people.  This is Madisyn who is very, very well behaved and by nature a quiet, subdued child.  That is, until she’s eaten sugar for 3 hours a day, 4 days in a row.  Then she becomes,  Magnificent Madisyn, creator of Et Chocolat Cosmetics.  Don’t you just love her new lipstick?

Meet Isabella, or Bella as she is called.  Innocent.  Calm.  Not one to be in the limelight.  Oh, I’m sorry, I was thinking of someone else.  Back to Bella…this was my second week with her and all I can say is wow!  She is not innocent, calm or shy.  She’s guilty of being dynamic, precious, fun, curious, busy and absolutely a delight!  Add 4 days of sugar and chocolate and I almost died of cuteness overload!  She’s not in class this week and I completely miss her.  Have a fun summer, Bella :o)

Saving the best for last, here is Inaki!  This was his second week with me as well.  On the other hand, he is absolutely guilty of being innocent, calm, shy.  I think he might have said 2 words over the last 2 weeks.  That is, until he made Fundue Fondue.  The picture says it all!  Look at his left hand…now, that is total excitement!

His older brother, joined us last week.  Here’s a pic of them with their younger brother who just can’t wait to follow in big brother’s footsteps with a cooking class with us.

Stay tuned for more Kids in the Kitchen!  Hope everyone is having a fun summer 🙂

Love, butter and chocolate,

Lori
