hudson river The beginning of July has been great with the 4th and my birthday soon afterwards. I spent the 4th at a lunch/dinner party with my friend, Sharon and was kindly invited to a Manhattan rooftop party to watch the Macy’s firework display by a teacher who was at the luncheon. The scene was truly amazing; the city is gorgeous at night! It was a delight to have that opportunity and I’m grateful.I spent my birthday visiting the Brooklyn Tabernacle which is a powerful place of worship! The pastor, Jim Cymbala, has a heart for Jesus and seeing people’s lives changed…if you ever have a chance to read something of his or hear him teach, don’t miss it! Afterwards, I spent the afternoon in SOHO and Greenwhich Village. I ate hummus at The Hummus Place…the absolute best hummus in this country!!! For all you chip and dip people; hummus is 2nd only to homemade Texas salsa. I could live on both. Of course, I had to have a canolli from Rocco’s…another mecca for all things sweet. While in the area, I stumbled onto Riverside Park on the west side, along the Hudson River. One of the pics is of that area with New Jersey in the background.
