Read below about Bryn’s adventure in cooking.  She even sent us a poem she wrote about chocolate; so cool!  Thanks, Bryn!

“One snack that I absolutely LOVE is Puppy Chow.  Don’t stop reading!  It is not really dog food.  It is a delicious, amazing, tasty snack that I wish I could devour every day.  Puppy Chow is Chex Mix with a chocolatey taste and powdered sugar coated on top.

One time my friends and I were playing a game called “Chopped” (like the show on Food Network), where 3 people are given crazy ingredients, and you are supposed to make a dish out of them.

We were asked to make a dessert, but one of the ingredients was potato chips.  I sat in the kitchen for about 1 minute trying to think of what to do with the chips.  Suddenly, I thought of Puppy Chow!

I melted the butter, peanut butter, chocolate and vanilla together to make the chocolate layer.  Then I put the chips (which substituted for the Chex Mix) in the chocolate mixture.  Finally, I poured the powdered sugar on top.

It turned out really good!  I was so happy and relieved.  But I have to recommend using the Chex Mix instead of chips.  It is definitely a little healthier!  The recipe is below; hope you enjoy.”

Daisy Dutch
There was a girl named Daisy Dutch.
She hated chocolate so, so much.
She never tried it, so how could she know?
She hated it from the top of her head to the tip of her toe.
Then one day she met a boy.
His name was Roy, and he brought her great joy.
They were still in love on Valentine’s Day.
He gave her chocolates that made her say,
“I guess I’ll have to try it today!”
As she cringed in fright,
She took her first bite.
Then her taste buds swirled,
While her stomach twirled.
The chocolate that she hated so much
Was really dreamy and tremendously creamy!
She fell in love with chocolate that day.
It filled her heart, so Roy couldn’t stay.
Even though her beau had to go,
She still loved chocolate from the top of her head to the tip of her toe!

Hi it’s me Bryn–I accidentally wrote Chex Mix–it should be Chex cereal. Although Chex Mix might be good too–salty and sweet! Sorry for the mistake!
